WCBC News has learned of power outages in the area affecting large numbers of Potomac Edison customers. According to a Potomac Edison spokesperson, power has been restored to approximately 1700 customers in the city of Cumberland after an outage of about an hour. Potomac Edison went on to say that 3500 customers in the area remain without power and that work on the outage will carry over into Sunday.
