Presents for Paws – a great local tradition for the whole family- is scheduled for Saturday, December 19, from 11 – 5 at the Allegany County Animal Shelter, 716 Furnace Street. The annual event allows for local families to come out with gifts of animal food, toys, pet care items, blankets, towels, straw, bleach and cleaning supplies to donate to the shelter. Manager Patty Collison, addressing the Cumberland Rotary Club this week said without the generosity of the community for the animals, the shelter would have trouble keeping its doors open…
