Presidential Candidate Rand Paul Visits State

When it comes to presidential campaigns, the state of Maryland is usually an afterthought- given little attention by most candidates- however in the past week two major GOP contenders made stops in Baltimore. Donald Trump was the featured speaker at a republican fund raiser Tuesday, and candidate Rand Paul also visited.  Paul says, if he were elected President, he would propose a few things that could "fix" Baltimore.  He said he doesn't think the Democrats have managed to fight poverty. He says the first thing to do is to see if anything that has been done to eliminate poverty over the past 50 years has worked.  He says one strategy he would implement is what Jack Kemp called “economic freedom”- leaving money in the community and not sending it to Washington to be siphoned off by the federal government…
