Local gas prices continuing a steady plunge with the price of a gallon of regular unleaded in Cumberland down six cents from last week to $1.71. Prices in the area are as low as $1.57 at the Cresaptown Sheetz. Statewide, Maryland’s average heading into the weekend is $1.73, a three penny decline from last week while the national average stands at $1.72- actually up two cents from a week ago.
