A spokesman for Baltimore State's Attorney Marilyn Mosby said Thursday a prosecutor who made derogatory comments about a victim of an alleged sexual assault no longer works for her office.

The comments were included in the lengthy Department of Justice report on the Baltimore Police Department released last week. Spokesman Arinze Ifekauche said they were made in 2013.

Federal investigators reviewed emails between an officer and a prosecutor regarding the assault, in which the prosecutor wrote, "I am not excited about charging it. This victim seems like a conniving little [expletive]. (pardon my language).”

The statement Thursday was unclear whether the prosecutor had resigned or been fired, and when that prosecutor left the office.

“State’s Attorney Marilyn Mosby takes sexual assault very seriously and does not condone derogatory insensitive comments made to or about sexual assault survivors, which work against our efforts to successfully hold the perpetrators of these offenses accountable," Ifekauche said in a statement. "This administration has been and will continue to fight for sexual assault survivors and legislative reform both in Annapolis and in the courtroom."
