The Public Service Commission has set a series of evening hearings next month to take public comment on how electric utilities responded to the hundreds of thousands of power outages following the June 29, Derecho storms. In western Maryland some households went more than a week without electricity. Hearings examining Potomac Edisons response will take place Monday, August 20 beginning at 7:00 p.m. at Winchester Hall, 12 East Church Street in Frederick. Written public comments in this proceeding may also be submitted by September 10to David J.
