While his performance didn’t deliver the punch needed to drag his campaign out of the low single digits, most political pundits believe that former Maryland Governor and Baltimore Mayor Martin O’Malley handled himself well during the first democratic presidential debate this week. O’Malley, along with former Virginia senator Jim Webb and former Rhode Island governor Lincoln Chaffee, were lost in the background for much of the show- with frontrunners Hillary Clinton and Bernie Sanders receiving by far the most air time. O’Malley’s highlight may have been his response to the recent rioting and rising crime rates in Baltimore- which some have blamed on his administration…
