Rash of burglaries in Frostburg

October 16th, 2014 by WCBC Radio

The Cumberland Times News reports there have been sixteen burglaries in all parts of the city of Frostburg — including two recent business break-ins — that  remain under investigation by the Frostburg Police Department.  Frostburg Police Chief Royce Douty says there is no obvious pattern as they have occured in all parts of down, and night and in teh daytime hours. Many of the break-ins were made by accessing rear doors and windows. Some occurred at night while the occupants were asleep inside their homes. Numerous items, mostly electronic devices, were stolen. The rash of burglaries throughout the Mountain City prompted the chief to sound a word of caution.

Anyone observing suspicious activity in their neighborhood should call Frostburg Police at 301-689-3000.
