March 30th, 2013 by WCBC Radio

A 53 year old Rawlings man died at Shock Trauma in Baltimore Friday afternoon after a shooting incident with Maryland State Police.   Samuel E. George was shot after refusing to put down his revolver when police responded Thursday night.  George had already wounded his brother in the leg and fired a shot toward his father.  The two state troopers who responded to the scene and fired their weapons were Eric Derham and Jason Crowe.  The Maryland State Police Internal Affairs Unit is investigating as standard procedure.
