On December 12, 2011 at approximately 12:10 p.m., Troopers from the MSP Cumberland Barrack were at a private residence located on Hawk Street, Rawlings, Maryland conducting an investigation. When Troopers arrived at the residence, it was discovered that an entrance door to the residence was damaged and unsecured. Entry was made into the residence by Troopers to check on the well being of the occupants. Once inside the residence, the sixty-nine (69) year old female homeowner was located inside the residence, with her legs and arms tied together. No one else was located inside the residence. The suspects tied the victim’s legs and arms together and then proceeded to ransack the residence. The suspects removed firearms from the residence and fled from the residence, leaving the victim securely tied. The victim was unable to call for help due to having her legs and arms tied together.
