June 23rd, 2016 by WCBC Radio

The rebranding of downtown Cumberland continues with a fresh logo and new title. Sandi  Saville, chairwoman of the Downtown Development Commission, presented the new graphic and title “The Historic City Center” during this week’s meeting of the Cumberland Mayor and City Council.  The new logo features six buildings in the background with “Cumberland” in all capital letters across the buildings and an antique light post in the center. The words “Welcome” and “Historic City Center,” are also included on the graphic. The graphic will be placed on the side of the CBIZ building, the old Lazarus building and on the side of Uncle Jack’s Pizzeria & Pub on Mechanic Street. Saville also announced that Frostburg artist Parris Ashley has been selected to paint a “Heritage-based” 200-foot mural on the wall behind the Cumberland Times-News…
