The fifth annual DelFest is scheduled for Memorial Day weekend, May 24 through 27at the Allegany County Fairgrounds- and based on early sales it should be the most successful to date. The festival originated from the desire to create a family-friendly music festival celebrating the rich legacy of legendary bluegrass performer Del McCoury – while creating a forum for world-class musical collaborations and to showcase fresh new talent with a down-home feeling. Perhaps the strongest lineup yet features, among others, comedian, movie star Steve Martin- who has made a name for himself in the bluegrass industry with his skill on the banjo.
