Repeat offenders a “problem”

March 5th, 2012 by WCBC Radio

A caller to WCBC's "Dave Norman Show" believes that repeat offenders are causing much of the growing crime problems for Allegany County. Pointing to about 6 or 7 individuals who have been arrested on numerous occaisions- but still not incarcerated- the caller blamed the system for allowing those habitual criminals to walk free. Allegany County States Attorney Michael Twigg said he believes the caller has a valid point- however he notes that there are a myriad of reasons for the situation, not the least of which are what he views as sentences that are often too light in the state.

I agree completely not enough jail time for repeat offenders. How much,if any time, will the flasher from Walmart get? Probably NONE!
