Report Cards Delayed

March 21st, 2012 by WCBC Radio

The Allegany County Public School System would like to advise parents and students that the third marking period report card distribution scheduled for April 13, 2012, has been delayed until April 18, 2012.  In response to a change in the date of Maryland’s Primary Election from February 14, 2012, to April 3, 2012, the school board amended the 2011-2012 school calendar to include a spring break for students, which in turn has pushed report card distribution back one week.

All schools and offices will be closed on Tuesday, April 3, 2012, in observance of Primary Election Day.  This date change impacted an already shortened instructional week due to Easter break.  Therefore, additional changes were necessary to reduce the impact on instructional continuity.  Schools will now be closed on Monday, April 2, 2012, and will reopen on Tuesday, April 10, 2012.  Offices will be closed on April 6 and 9, 2012.

Final grades for middle and high school students may be viewed online beginning April 12, 2012.
