In Tuesdays edition of the Cumberland Times-News’ Letter To The Editor section several representatives of Maryland’s First Legislative District called for local elected officials and citizens to speak out opposing the National Park Service’s proposed 2015 park fee increase for the C&O Canal National Historic Park. The representatives stated that as an economically disadvantaged area Western Maryland citizens should not be given exorbitant fees. They also believe that such an increase would be a severe blow to tourism, businesses and jobs in Western Maryland…
