Retired Judge James S. Getty, class of 1941, will be recognized with the Alumni Achievement Award on Oct. 8 during the annual awards banquet at Potomac State College of West Virginia University. While attending Potomac State, Getty served as a member of the Debate Club, the PSC Players, and was the circulation manager of the college’s student newspaper, Pasquino. After earning an associate degree in pre-law, Getty attended the University of Maryland Law School, where he earned his jurisprudence in 1947.
