Ridgecrest Frustrated with V.A. Talks

August 23rd, 2011 by WCBC Radio

Despite expressing a strong desire for additional space and services for local veterans in the Cumberland area- John Laughlin of Ridgecrest Development told the City Council last week that the Veterans Administration has been dragging its feet when it comes to a potential location in the former Memorial Hospital building.  Although the VA recently cut the ribbon on an expanded facility on Glenn Street- additional medical and counciling services have been needed for several years- however Laughlin said talks are getting nowhere.
