Ridgeley residents upset with teens, animals and fireworks

May 6th, 2017 by WCBC Radio

Reports of dogs running loose, gun shots and fire crackers are signs of spring in Ridgeley.  A long-time resident expressed concerns about teenagers running around at all times of the day and night cursing, numerous dogs running loose, and sounds of gunfire and fireworks during a recent town council meeting.  The Mineral Tribune reports Mayor Lynn Carr advised residents while there is no ordinance on the number of dogs a person may have, dogs must be on a leash. Carr urged residents in the case of gunshots to call 911 and urged that if odor becomes a problem with a property with multiple dogs that the matter can be referred to the health department.
