CUMBERLAND, Md. – October 4, 2013 – Rocky Gap Casino Resort announced that it received
approval from the Maryland Lottery and Gaming Control Agency to offer poker. There are now three poker
tables with eight seats each in the hotel lobby offering Texas Hold'em with both Limit and No Limit stakes.
Rocky Gap Casino Resort hosted a controlled demonstration for the Maryland Lottery and Gaming Control
Agency on Thursday, October 3. All poker proceeds from the controlled demonstration were donated to
Volunteer Team Inc., the non-profit organization that supports Rocky Gap State Park.
“In recent years, poker has exploded in popularity and players have come to expect it at most major casinos,” said
Scott Just, General Manager, Rocky Gap Casino Resort. “Adding poker further enhances Rocky Gap Casino
Resort as a complete gaming destination with 550 slot machines, exciting table games including blackjack, craps
and roulette, world-class golf and dining, and freshly appointed hotel rooms.”
In addition to playing the new poker tables, Rocky Gap Rewards Club members can win a new 60th Anniversary
2013 Chevrolet Corvette Convertible 4LT valued at $68,000 on Wednesday, November 20 at 8 p.m. Anyone
who has joined the Rocky Gap Rewards Club between Monday, September 1 and Tuesday, November 19, will
receive one automatic entry into the promotion. Active Rewards Club members earning 1,000 or more points
after September 1, will also receive one entry. Players cannot receive more than one entry into the promotion.
There will also be early bird drawings from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. in which Rewards Club members can win $100 in
free slot play every hour, on the hour. Second chance drawings will be held at 9 p.m. for $250 in free slot play and
at 10 p.m. for $500 in free slot play. Rewards Club members must be present at the casino to win. The car is
currently on display inside Rocky Gap Casino Resort.
Rocky Gap Rewards Club members can also win up to $5,000 in free slot play every Sunday in October by
swiping their Rewards Club card at a promotional kiosk. Seniors 55 years of age or older can win up to $25 in
free slot play every Tuesday through October 29. Additionally, Rewards Club members who are playing any of
the following slot machines from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. on Thursdays, October 3, 10, 17, and 24 may be randomly
selected to win $50: Spooktacular, Black Widow, Shadow Panther, Hells Bells, Wicked Winning II, Timber
Wolf, Monster Jackpots, Van Helsing, Day of the Dead, Dangerous Beauty and Vampire’s. Rewards Club
members will also receive quadruple points on Thursday, October 31. Each player taking part in these
promotions will be granted one spin per day, and every spin is guaranteed to win free slot play. New Rewards
Club members can still earn between $5 and $500 in free slot play, as part of the Casino's Join, Spin & Win
promotion.
