Rocky Gap Casino To Conduct Poker Game Demonstration

The Rocky Gap Casino Resort will conduct a controlled demonstration of poker games in accordance with requirements of the Maryland Lottery and Gaming Control Agency, which recently approved the casino’s request to expand table games offerings. General Manager Scott Just said that the public demand poker has been overwhelming and it only makes sense to add that option to the slots and table games already at the casino. According to a press release, all poker proceeds from the demonstration will be donated to Volunteer Team Inc., the nonprofit organization that supports Rocky Gap State Park. The controlled demonstration for the poker tables is planned for Oct. 3 from 1 to 5 p.m. Poker could be offered to all interested by Oct. 7. Poker is proving incredibly popular and profitable elsewhere in the state, with MarylandLive Casino beginning poker games earlier this year.
