Rocky Gap May Boost Other New Business

When the new slots facility at Rocky Gap State Park opens late next year or early 2014- it’s expected to provide an immediate boost to the local economy- however Allegany County Commissioner Bill Valentine says most of that boost could come from other businesses. The board of public works is expected to sign off on the Evitts group to receive the slot license this month- and its anticipated that contruction on a slots facility will take about 18 months. Once it is open for business, Valentine tells WCBC News he expects other businesses to open as well.
