Yesterday, we brought you word that threat of a lawsuit from an individual has caused the Romney Volunteer Fire Department to cease using the fire whistle from 10 PM until 6 AM.
WCBC News spoke with Mayor Dan Hileman, who says he knows the identity of the person, but has been advised by legal counsel not to reveal it since the town has no formal connection with the fire department.
Still, he’s wrapping his head around the system which has been silenced…
