A month after the COVID-19 Coronavirus began to make its presense felt locally, UPMC Western Maryland President Barry Ronan tells WCBC he is pleased with the hospital’s response to the pandemic. The former Western Maryland Health System joined UPMC in early February and became UPMC Western Maryland. Appearing on WCBC’s “Dave Norman Show” Thursday, Ronan said that alliance has worked well in serving the people of the western Maryland region during this health crisis, with the local system receiving guidance, tools and other resources.
