On Aug. 13 and 14, the Western Maryland Scenic Railroad will host its first Royal Rails Weekend. All guests aboard the regularly scheduled Mountain Limited are welcome to dress up as their favorite royal personality – kings, queens, princes, princesses, court jesters, knights.
The WMSR king and queen will visit with passengers aboard the train during the excursion. Guests participating in the event with seats reserved in first class will be served sandwiches and cupcakes on the way to the destination.
On the return trip, children in first class will receive sword and crown-making kits. Guests will participate in a best-dressed costume contest that will take place on board during the excursion.
