On Monday night at approximately 11:45 PM the Allegany County Sheriff’s Office along with the Maryland State Police responded to Rt 51 at Collier Run Road for a motor vehicle crash. A tractor trailer driven by Harlow Phillip Plew, 68 years old over turned onto the Jersey barrier. Plew was transported to Cumberland Regional Hospital for minor injuries. Rt. 51 was closed for some time as the tow service worked to remove the vehicle. District 16 Fire and EMS remained on scene past 3:00 AM until the situation was corrected. Plew was charged with speed greater than reasonable.
