A hearing is taking place in federal court in Baltimore on Maryland's gun-control law, which took effect last year.
U.S. District Judge Catherine Blake is hearing the case.
She is hearing arguments on a state motion to dismiss the lawsuit.
The lawsuit contends Maryland's ban on specific assault rifles and gun magazines with more than 10 rounds violates the Second Amendment.
