Christmas is just about a month away- and that means the Salvation Army is already out in full force with bell ringers manning the familiar red kettles throughout the area to raise money for those families struggling financially. At various locations around the county, bell ringers will spend hours braced against the cold, tasked with cheerily urging passers-by to slip what they can into the kettles. Lieutenant Jim Dillingham tells WCBC News that its important for those making donations to know that the money is used locally:
