Sarah's House in Mineral County is one of 21 projects sharing more than $1.6 million in Child Advocacy Center Grant Program funding, Gov. Earl Ray Tomblin said Thursday. The funds will aid the fight against child abuse and neglect. Sarah's House will use its $84,715 grant for a facility-based community partnership that provides intake, investigation and follow-up services for victims of child abuse ages 3 to 17. Funds are allocated by the West Virginia Legislature and administered by the West Virginia Division of Justice and Community Services.
