Scenic Railroad celebrates return to Frostburg

May 6th, 2017 by WCBC Radio

The Western Maryland Scenic Railroad was unable to make its popular stop in Frostburg for more than a year  after two mudslides brought the rides to a halt. Thanks in large part to county funding, the repairs have been completed and trips to Frostburg are back on the schedule.  Starting in July, the railroad will have four trains en route on Saturdays, and they plan to have at least one special-themed weekend once a month.  The Western Maryland Scenic Railroad hosts their official Return to Frostburg Celebration on May 6 at the Frostburg Depot from 12 p.m. to 2 p.m.
