School System Meets To Establish Better Defined And Consistent Regulations On Cell Phone Use In Classrooms

After hearing several complaints from teachers at a recent meeting about the lack of a clear policy and procedures for student use of cell phones and/or electronic devices- the administration met with teacher union representatives and have established better defined, consistent regulations.  Most of the concerns that had been expressed centered on how or to what extent teachers and administration at the schools had over student’s usage of cell phones in the classrooms. John Reuschlein, president of the Allegany County Education Association, said he appreciated the chance to meet with Superintendent David Cox and others to clarify the policy to the satisfactory of all parties…
