Search For Bank Robber Continues

Allegany County States Attorney Michael Twigg tells WCBC News that while it is a concern, it is not at all unusual for a bank robber to take a regional approach in committing crimes. Twigg was referring to the latest in a series of bank robberies to occur in the area. Police are continuing to look for the man who robbed an M&T Bank at gunpoint Tuesday morning. It was just after 10:30 a.m. Tuesday when he walked into the bank on Industrial Boulevard with a handgun and demanded money. He then fled on foot with an undisclosed amount of cash. The suspect is believed to have also robbed the same bank back in March; the Susquehanna Bank on Industrial Boulevard back in June and the First Commonwealth Bank on William Penn Highway in Osterburg, Pennsylvania, back in December.
