A female passenger was arrested for possessing over two ounces of marijuana on Wednesday afternoon while troopers were conducting seatbelt enforcement in the “Click It or Ticket” initiative. A trooper from the Cumberland Barrack observed both a male driver and female passenger not wearing their seatbelt and conducted a traffic stop. During the course of the stop, a search of the vehicle was conducted that resulted in the discovery of 2 ounces of suspected marijuana and other types of CDS paraphernalia.
The female passenger, Angel Marrea Eason-Wilkerson, age 27 of Romney, West Virginia admitted that the suspected CDS belonged to her. She was arrested without incident and was released after an appearance before a District Court Commissioner.
The “Click It or Ticket” campaign runs from May 7th to June 3rd and all motorists are reminded to “Buckle Up” at all times.
