A second meeting has been scheduled to further discuss problems- and more importantly- potential solutions to some of the problems on the downtown pedestrian mall. Downtown Mall Manager Ed Mullaney, who facilitated a July 18 meeting that drew around 150 people, most of them downtown residents or business owners, said it’s important to keep the dialogue going. Primary concerns include: loitering, panhandling, foul language and inappropriate attire. Mullaney says that while not as many people are expected to attend next Thursday’s 6 p.m. session at Windsor Hall- he does expect the same level of enthusiasm and commitment to honestly discuss problems and solutions.
