Cumberland Mayor Brian Grim tells WCBC News that a seventh person has come forward with interest in the city council position being vacated by the departing David Kauffman.
Grim said a letter was received in the mail from Eugene Frazier, and that letter was postmarked prior to the deadline for submitting documentation indicating interest in the position.
Kauffman's resignation becomes effective January 1, 2016, and the city would like to have a replacement selected so as not to be short a voting member.
