Severe Weather Wreaks Havoc On Central Maryland

Severe weather wreaked havoc on central Maryland Friday after tornado warnings were issued and strong winds and rain hit the area. Around 8 a.m., a strong storm traveled from Poolesville, Maryland, heading northeast at 55 mph, leaving a lot of damage in its path, according to the National Weather Service.

Many WBAL NewsRadio 1090 and FM 101.5 and WBAL-TV 11 listeners and viewers have reported roofs that have slid off of buildings, and fallen and uprooted trees, particularly in parts of Carroll County. 

Baltimore Gas and Electric reports thousands of customers are without power in the Westminster area of Carroll County.
