This weekend, thousands of Marylanders and visitors will travel State highways to celebrate the Independence Day holiday weekend. As everyone prepares to enjoy the festivities, the Maryland Department of Transportation’s State Highway Administration (SHA) reminds travelers to drive safely and stay alert for pedestrians walking to and from local events and celebrations. SHA will suspend all non-emergency interstate construction Friday morning July 3 at 9 a.m. until Monday morning July 6 at 9 a.m.
