During last week’s meeting held in Mt Savage, one man questioned the Allegany County Commissioners decision in recent years to take a percentage of revenue from Rocky Gap gaming to go toward a scholarship program at Allegany College and Frostburg State University. The suggestion was that most of those taking advantage of the scholarships aren’t staying in the area once they graduate- and the money could be better utilized giving a tax break to citizens.
