Allegany County Sheriff Craig Robertson has announced that a committee plan focused on enhancing school security will be presented in a public setting Monday afternoon. Robertson was appointed to head a committee on school security by the County Commissioners in April after the board of education requested additional funding in the wake December’s tragic shootings in Connecticut. There has been a great deal of debate between the commissioners and the school board over how the program should be implemented, and who should control the funding.
