Allegany County Sheriff's Office responded to 24211 Westernport Road in Westernport at Tri-Town Plaza for a report of a burglary in progress. The caller reported that the suspects were inside the old Save-A-Lot building. Upon arrival of Deputy Fairley, he set up a perimeter and waited for additional units to arrive, including Maryland State Police and Keyser, WV police K9. A search by K9, located 3 suspects hiding inside. All three were taken into custody without incident. Arrested was :
Ryan Butler age 28 of Piedmont, WV
Cody Broadwater age 27 of Piedmont, WV
Philip Saville age 28 of Piedmont, WV
All three were charged with 2nd degree burglary, 4th degree burglary theft and tools, attempted theft under $1000 and distruction of property. All were held on $20,000 bond after an initial appearance before a District Court Appearance.
