The Allegany County Public School System was notified that its official request for the approval of the site acquisition of Western Maryland Health System’s Braddock Campus for use to construct a new Allegany High School was approved by the Interagency Committee for Public School Construction (IAC) at their recent meeting on April 18, 2012.  “As we anticipated, the project has cleared another hurdle, and we’re committed to clearing the next one with the Board of Public Works,” stated Dr. David Cox, superintendent of schools.  Grimm and Parker Architects will present the results and recommendations of their feasibility study at the school board’s May business meeting.
