Six Seeking City Council Seat

total of six letters of interest for the soon to be vacant  Cumberland City Council seat were received by Tuesday’s twelve noon deadline. The seat will officially become vacant January 1st when David Kauffman will resign- with three years remaining in his current term. Kauffman has taken a job out of town and announced in October his plans to step down at the end of the year. Mayor Brian Grim confirmed to WCBC News that the six candidates that will be considered are: Christoper Logsdon; Richard “Rock” Cioni; Tamar Clarke; Marc Nelson; Bernard “Ben” Wolters; and George “mac” McKinley. Although the council has sixty days upon Kauffman’s resignation to fill the seat, Mayor Grim says the hope is to have his replacement named next month…
