Sobriety Checkpoint

A sobriety checkpoint will be conducted by law enforcement at an undisclosed location in Allegany County on Thursday, June 26, according to Maryland State Police Lt. H.B. Martz, commander of the Cumberland barrack.

Allied police agencies will take part in the checkpoint that is designed to reduce the number of drunken and impaired
drivers on Allegany County roadways.

Martz also said saturation patrols will be conducted by the Cumberland barrack in cooperation with allied police agency
during the July 4th holiday weekend.
