Sobriety Checkpoint scheduled for next week

Law enforcement agencies throughout the county will conduct a sobriety checkpoint at an undisclosed location over the July 29 weekend, according to Maryland State Police. The operation will be conducted with the goal to reduce the number of drunk and drugged impaired drivers on Allegany County roadways. Police also urge citizens to report any crimes or suspicious criminal activity to their nearest police agency.
