One of the few contested local races on the Allegany County ballot in April features two candidates seeking election as Circuit Court Judge. Jeff Getty was appointed to the position by Governor Larry Hogan in February, but he is being challenged by Cumberland Attorney George “Mac” McKinley. Some area residents have suggested the two veterans of the court system participate in a candidate’s forum prior to the April 26th primary election. McKinley, during an appearance on WCBC’s “Dave Norman Show” said that while he would be willing, he wouldn’t anticipate such an event being scheduled…
