After over 2,100 patients have been admitted to the hospital for the coronavirus since March, Bob Atlas, president and CEO of the Maryland Hospital Association, said hospitals are preparing for a potential surge in virus cases, according to WBAL-TV . While Maryland has not yet reached peak cases, Atlas said hospitals are still preparing for a surge by increasing bed space and staffing.
