State Hospital Association Lists Preparation for Possible Surge in COVID-19 Cases

After over 2,100 patients have been admitted to the hospital for the coronavirus since March, Bob Atlas, president and CEO of the Maryland Hospital Association, said hospitals are preparing for a potential surge in virus cases, according to WBAL-TV . While Maryland has not yet reached peak cases, Atlas said hospitals are still preparing for a surge by increasing bed space and staffing.  The main concern, Atlas said, was to protect health care workers so they can continue to care for patients.  Atlas urged residents to stay home and, if they do go out, to wear a face mask…
