State Officials Plan Unemployment Mobile App As They Cope With Backlog

May 7th, 2020 by WCBC Radio

WBAL reports Maryland Labor Secretary Tiffany Robinson said Thursday her department has made great strides in ironing out problems with the unemployment website.

“We have been taking the site down periodically from 1 a.m. to 3 a.m. to maintain and to work on all the diagnostics they took during the day to fix errors, to tweak glitches, and to make it work for 99.9% of the population” Robinson told WBAL. The BEACON One-Stop unemployment website produced error messages and had major glitches when it launched April 24.

Robinson assures Marylanders most of these problems have been fixed.
