State Police Will Enforce Stopped Truckers

Maryland State Police say commercial truck drivers will be fined this month and are urged not park on the shoulder of highways. According to WBAL News, police say the parked trucks create extremely dangerous conditions. State Police officials are now implementing a zero-tolerance policy and will issue $60 tickets to truck drivers who park on the shoulder Truck drivers are urged to stop at rest areas, welcome centers or weigh stations. Electronic highway signs will also be used to remind drivers about the increased enforcement.
