State Senator Edwards Opposed Hikes In Taxes

Maryland lawmakers voted in special session this week to do away with the so-called doomsday budget by way of a series of tax hikes- however State Senator George Edwards opposed the plan, saying that he would have preferred a different approach. Edwards, a republican who represents Garrett and Allegany counties, told WCBC News that he didn’t have a real problem with the “doomsday” budget- but an even better approach in his opinion would have been to implement across the board level funding…
