State’s Attorney Files Charges In Puppy Mill Case

July 27th, 2015 by WCBC Radio

The Allegany County State's Attorney Office has filed charges and obtained warrants in a case that resulted from the discovery of what local animal welfare officials have been callling a puppy mill.

A total of 158 charges have been filed in the case, but the name, or names, of those to be charged have not been released.  35 dogs were rescued from 617 Maryland Avenue during the rescue operation.

WCBC reported last week that the property is listed in Maryland land records as being owned by Pepper Taylor.  It is not known if Taylor has been charged in the case, as the warrant process does not provide for the release of the name of the charged until the warrant has been served.
