Extreme Western Allegany-Central and Eastern Allegany-Eastern Mineral- 1227 PM EDT Wed Jul 22 2020 ...A LINE OF STRONG THUNDERSTORMS WILL AFFECT WESTERN ALLEGANY AND NORTHEASTERN MINERAL COUNTIES... At 1227 PM EDT, radar indicated strong thunderstorms were located along a line extending from 7 miles west of La Vale to near Frostburg to near Westernport. Movement was northeast at 25 mph. Wind gusts of 40 to 50 mph are possible with these storms. Locations impacted include... Cumberland, Frostburg, Westernport, Bel Air, La Vale, Fort Ashby, Lonaconing, Piedmont, Ridgeley, Cresaptown, Potomac Park, Wiley Ford, Eckhart Mines, Mount Savage, Rawlings, Ellerslie, Corriganville, Midland, Midlothian and Woodland. These storms may intensify, so be certain to monitor local radio stations and available television stations for additional information and possible warnings from the National Weather Service.
